The HDPE Flap Gate is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe and sheet, which is highly strong and long-lasting. The gate opens automatically when there is a tiny change in pressure on the back of the gate, permitting discharge through levees, sewer lines, or drainage conduits.

The gate closes automatically to prevent backflow when the water on the gate’s face rises higher than the water on the rear side.
